Linda Marchant, 5 th Dan IOGKF, started her martial arts training during the mid 70's when she took up Judo in her home town of Ryde , on the Isle of Wight . She then started in Wado-Ryu Karate but the club closed down so she started Goju-ryu under Sensei Mike Lambert. She moved to London in 1984 and had a letter of introduction from Sensei Lambert to train with Sensei George Andrews, 7 th Dan IOGKF, at the 'Marble Factory' with whom she has trained ever since.

Linda trains regularly with Morio Higaonna Shihan and has taken the majority of her Dan grades under him. She has won many titles in her competitive career from which she retired in 1994, including Goju-ryu World, European and National Iri-kumi and Shobu-Ippon Champion over a period of 10 years as well as silver and Gold medals in Goju-ryu World, European and National Kata competitions.

Linda instructs at the OTGKA Honbu Dojo in Walworth, South London, and regularly conducts seminars across Europe .
