| Kevin Nason |
Kevin Nason Sensei started SKI Shotokan Karate at Stanford-le-Hope Essex in 1972. In 1980 he started Goju-ryu under the tutelage of Gary Webber Sensei at Basildon Essex. Sensei Gary was with the English Goju Ryu Karate Association (EGKA) headed by James Rousseau Sensei. Kevin achieved his Shodan in 1987 and continued to train regularly at the infamous Marble Factory under George Andrews Sensei. Sensei Kevin has enjoyed a great deal of competition success including 2nd Place Individual Kumite and 2nd Place Team Kumite at Miyagi Chojun World Championship San Diego America 1989, England Team and Individual medals at San Diego 1990, France 1992, England 1986 to 1994 as well as being a Team Member of the England Goju Ryu Karate team between 1989 to 1994.
Kevin left the EGKA in 1994 to help with the formation of Goju-ryu Karate International, headed by James Rousseau Shihan. Kevin is now a very respected Sensei within GKI, holding the position of association coach.
